As the owner of Children’s Choice Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, Dr. Anamelechi is passionate about creating not only a phenomenal dental experience for children in the area but being partners with families in the oral health of their child. Her areas of expertise come from years of additional training to include but not limited to laser dentistry, maternal and child health, dental trauma, growth and development. She is a graduate of Duke University and the University of North Carolina Schools of Dentistry and Public Health. Following graduation, she completed the specialized Pediatric Dental Residency Program at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Anamelechi was named one of America’s Top Pediatric Dentists by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. In addition to her private practice, she is a member of the teaching faculty at Children’s National Medical Center and Georgetown University Medical Center. She has privileges at Children’s National Medical Center (Washington, DC), Prince Georges County Hospital (Cheverly, MD), and Bowie Surgical Center (Bowie, MD). Along with professional memberships locally, nationally and internationally, she serves as the president of the DC American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a co-leader of the Medical and Dental Collaboration committee for the DC Pediatric Oral Health Coalition and the Maryland Dental Action Coalition and the DC Pediatric Oral Health Coalition. She is also a speaker for Colgate-Palmolive Oral Health Network Speakers Program.
Dr. Anamelechi is married to Dr. Charles Anamelechi who works for Deloitte Consulting, LLP. She loves mission trips, spending time with her family, and trying new recipes. Together with her son and daughter, she is on her way to becoming a master Playdough builder.

Dr. Kelly Granger is a New York native with a passion for working with families. She is a graduate of Davidson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She started her professional career in health policy before beginning her dental career. She completed dental school at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC. She received training in caring for patients with special health care needs, trauma, hospital dentistry and interdisciplinary care on the cleft lip and palate team. Dr. Granger is currently a candidate to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Granger loves spending time with her family including her husband, Alex, and her dog, Ruth. She is an avid reader, explorer, and her favorite hobby is exploring new hobbies.
Dr. Granger has a passion for her profession as a pediatric dentist, providing exceptional dental care for children and trying her best to meet their individual needs. She is gentle and caring and wants her patients to look forward to their next appointment.
Dr. Justin Nunes grew up in the suburbs of Des Moines, Iowa. As the oldest of his generation in the family, Dr. Nunes is passionate about generational oral health. His areas of expertise include the dental management of special healthcare needs children, management of dental pain and trauma, and pediatric and adolescent restorative dentistry. He graduated from Baylor University's College of Health and Human Sciences followed by his dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following graduation from UNC, Dr. Nunes completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Children's National Hospital here in Washington, DC.
Outside of his career, Dr. Nunes enjoys exploring DC, traveling near & far, discovering new culinary combinations, and spending time with his plants and a cup of coffee.
A dedicated pediatric dentist with a passion for public health, Dr. Julie Hanna combines expertise in dentistry with a strong foundation in epidemiology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Toledo in 2016, followed by a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health in 2017.
Driven by a commitment to children’s oral health, she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Roseman University of Health Sciences in 2021 and pursued specialized training in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, earning her certificate in 2023. She is currently a candidate for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Hanna enjoys playing the piano, hiking new trails, and spending time with animals. She finds joy in visiting family overseas, engaging in community outreach, attending Broadway shows, and exploring national parks. Always eager for new experiences, her bucket list includes learning another musical instrument, adopting a dog, hiking Machu Picchu, and participating in medical missions.
As a Maryland native, Dr. Monica Tiu earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Maryland, College Park, and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
To further enhance her skills, Dr. Tiu completed a General Practice residency at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center. She also received 2 additional years of extensive training in IV sedation and general anesthesia during her Dental Anesthesiology residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Tiu practiced in New York City for 10 years before returning to the Baltimore-D.C. area. She has served as faculty at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
Outside work, Dr. Tiu enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 girls, playing tennis, and biking.
Dr. Chelesa Phillips is a dedicated orthodontist who discovered her passion for dentistry at a young age. Her early experience with braces sparked a lifelong dream of helping others achieve healthy, confident smiles. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis before earning her dental degree from Howard University College of Dentistry.
For Dr. Phillips, orthodontics is more than straightening teeth—it’s about building confidence, supporting families, and creating a lasting impact on her community. She believes in the power of mentorship and the importance of giving back, staying deeply connected with her former instructors, colleagues, and patients. Whether celebrating a child’s academic achievements or witnessing the personal growth of her patients, Dr. Phillips treasures the moments when her work extends beyond the dental chair and into the lives of those she serves.
As the newest member of our experienced team of specialists, Dr. Terri Ambrose is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist from Brooklyn, New York. She received her undergraduate degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and completed her advanced dental degree at Howard University College of Dentistry. While at Howard, Dr. Ambrose discovered her passion for working with children, especially those with special needs.
